On the Investment Attractiveness of Ukrainian Companies

The geographical location of Ukraine provides a multitude possibilities for successful investment activity. There are rich natural resources, fertile soil and qualified low-cost labour force. On the other hand, investors have to deal with historical ties Soviet Union, corruption, and political instability exacerbated by occupation part territory Russia. This paper deals possibility identifying attractiveness particular sectors in level concentration measured Herfindahl-Hirschman index. Accounting data companies taken from Orbis database evaluated ABC analysis general linear model. results point significant dependency variables representing investment on index, where deviations explained sectoral specifics.
